The ASB GlassCourt at the Racketlon World Championships

The Racketlon World Championships will take place in Germany, in the “Sport-Park Fürth”. Racketlon is made up of four sports: Two players play against each other in the following order: table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis – each set is played up to 21 points. Every point counts and the player with the most points of all matches is the winner.

The promoters around Gunnar Biermanns decided to organize the 5-sided ASB ShowGlassCourt for this event, to make squash a highlight of the Racketlon World Championships. The floor, the ASB CeramicFloor, is the latest development, which is made of safety glass with ceramic dots, to make the glass anti-skid.

Two independent institutes came to the result that the ASB CeramicFloor offers higher slip resistance than a normal wooden floor – under wet and also under dry conditions. Tournament director Biermanns comments: ” With this innovation we will for sure be able to present squash the best way at the Racketlon World Championship.”
