ASB Squash Wall – GlassBackWalls

Good view through the ASB GlassBackWall

ASB offers three different glass back walls. All of them meet the specifications of the World Squash Federation (WSF).

The ASB GlassBackWall was tested with an impact test carried out by the material testing institute of Nordrhein Westfalen and it was confirmed that the requirements of the Squash-Court Specifications (points 34 and 50) were met.

The panels are made of 12 mm toughened safety glass with etched stripes up to a height of 60cm on the inner side of the court.

ASB Pro GlassBackWall

A Glass Back Wall must withstand years of squash matches. For safety reasons the ASB Pro GlassBackWall was developed.

The panels (2.13m x 2.75m) are framed with aluminium profiles, especially designed by ASB. The door area is stiffened by aluminium columns 150/40/4mm. The door (DIN left) is held by hinges at the side and opens inwards. All aluminium profiles are anodized (E6EV1).

The horizontal bar at a height of 2.13m also forms the out of play line and is concave.

Additional glass panels or a closed element in the ASB system can be installed in the profile of the out of play line at the required height.

The connections between the floor and ceiling to the ASB cross bar profile are easy (see details to the left)

The continuous edge of the ASB cross bar profile makes it possible to get really clean joints between the squash court and floor/ceiling.

Rotary ASB GlassBackWall

A Rotary ASB GlassBackWall opens additional space. In the course of a big tournament the court can be used for parties, meetings or for the press by opening the whole width.

Additionally the sports area of a squash court can be expanded to the back and can therefore also be used for badminton or many other sports.

In an ASB GAME COURT the rotary glass back walls open space for congresses, events and anniversaries.

ASB Freestanding GlassBackWall

This glass back wall is stabilised with 30cm deep glass fins. The squash court door is opening (DIN left) to the inside and is fixed to hinges at the side.

The fins are fixed to the floor with angles and then the floor I installed. The opening in the floor with around 25cm x 35cm is covered with an anodised aluminium plate.

The ASB Freestanding GlassBackWall consists of two glass panels of 2.13m x 2.75m and a door, which is 90cm wide and made of 12mm safety glass.

This glass back wall is mostly used in connection with the installation of a glass court.

Glass headpieces can be installed at any time. For this purpose it is necessary to plan the supporting profiles at the side walls high enough and to fix a steel tube at the right height. The headpieces are then hung from the carrier. Thus all connection details are solved.
