Pambula Sporting Complex

First ASB courts built in Pambula, Australia after a 2-year lockdown.

ASB SQUASH is happy to present the first ASB courts built in Australia after a 2-year lockdown. The decision had been made and budget was voted for the squash courts back in 2020 and everything was ready to go but then COVID struck and travel to Australia for foreigners - including our qualified and experienced installation crew - became impossible. But then came 2022 and travel to Australia was finally permitted again. Our crew took one of the first flights to Australia and was excited to get started.

The setup was built within the Sapphire Aquatic Centre recreation facility run by the Bega Valley Shire Council and consist of three ASB System100 squash courts with ASB Pro GlassBackWalls and two mechanical ASB MovableSideWalls to allow for maximum usability and to avoid single dedication to squash only. The ASB MoveableSideWalls allow the users to play singles and doubles squash, but by moving the side walls out further, the three squash courts convert into one big multi-purpose sports area (ASB GameCourt) for other sports and activity spaces such as yoga, dancing, volleyball, events, parties, etc.

The opening of this squash facility gives the local Merimbula Squash Club a new home and allows them to grow strong junior and senior membership numbers and run competitions. It connects squash players in the community and their new home of squash in the Bega Valley.

Andrew Stewart, project manager of Bega Valley Shire Council commented:
"Many thanks to ASB for the COURTS FITOUT. Stanislav, Dominic and Daniel have done a fine job. Please convey our thanks to them. All who have visited the courts have been impressed including the President of the local Squash Club"
