ASB has a proven long history and experience with squash court production and installation. Furthermore, ASB has gained extensive knowledge from the many outdoor ShowGlassCourt setups done in the course of the company’s history. From this background ASB has developed a new type of squash court for the outdoor use. The aim is to oﬀer more people access to squash courts and to recruit new squash players as well as to create more awareness of our great sport.

ASB System40

The ASB System40 panels are generally useable for either a new court or a renovation of an existing court made of plaster or other materials which are not resistant to the impact of the squash ball. This already brings us to the challenge to manufacture a good squash wall.

The ASB System100 is a classic squash court used all over the world. Builders and users have always esteemed the high quality of its construction. You will find ASB SquashCourts in many national training centres and they have been used at each of the Commonwealth Games venues since squash made its debut in 1998.

The ASB EventGameCourt has the same playing characteristics as the normal ASB GameCourt. It consists of three ASB System100 SquashCourts in a row with two movable side walls separating the three courts. However, in addition, it has some features that enable the court to ‚travel‘. The ASB EventGameCourt is designed to be installed, dismantled and re-installed numerous times.

The ASB PermanentGlassCourt is a major game changer for the squash market. With this new system this has an end. Once installed the court is practically maintenance free and easy to clean. The newly developed fitting system allows very fast installation and installing is a clean job without dust or dirt in the centre.

The ASB GlassWall has a stunning visual appearance. The glass panels of an ASB GlassWall are made of 12mm “SEKURIT” glass. The wall can be combined with our other systems. The wall can be equipped with ASB one-way-vision™ technology, which means, that the first layer of the dots on the inner side of the “SEKURIT” safety glass is printed in anthracite/black colour by screen printing technique. The second layer of dots, which are the bright colour dots have to be printed exactly on the black dots. The spectators can see inside the court, on the other hand, the players cannot see outside. Therefore they are not disturbed by the movement around and can easily focus on the squash ball.

ASB offers three different glass back walls. All of them meet the specifications of the World Squash Federation (WSF). The panels are made of 12 mm toughened safety glass with etched stripes up to a height of 60cm on the inner side of the court.

A Rotary ASB GlassBackWall opens additional space. In the course of a big tournament the court can be used for parties, meetings or for the press by opening the whole width.

The ASB MirrorWall can be installed in each configuration of squash courts. The wall is operated electrically and all it requires is to press a button to lower the mirrors down from the ceiling. It gives the squash courts an extra range of utilization as the mirrors can be used for performing different activities like workout, aerobics etc.

Squash is a dynamic sport requiring fast reactions. Powerful acceleration, abrupt changes of direction and immediate stops place a great demand on the players’ joints, tendons and muscles. Like no other sport, squash requires a unique style of movement in a relatively small space, with two players battling to occupy the same position around the “T” in the middle of the court. These conditions can only be dealt with on a floor with an “intelligent substructure”.

The even and white coated aluminium surface gives the tin a stylish look. The ASB Height AdjustableTin is supplied as installation kit. Two more options are also available (described below).

The Inflatable SquashCourt is the ideal add-on for clubs offering additional service to its members and their children. It is also the ideal starter pack for squash federations, cities and schools to get children involved in racket sports and of course squash in particular.

Squash Court Lighting

One of the most underestimated parts of a squash court is actually very essential for the game: squash court lighting. WSF court specification rule 11 states that “the court shall be lit by artificial light” and the level of illumination is at least 300 lux, measured at 1m above floor level. Although a minimum of 300 LUX is technically permitted, reality shows that playing characteristics are extremely altered and players having huge problems seeing the ball. There is really only one solution to amend this problem.
